There will be a holiday for schools in the country’s capital Delhi for the next five days. Due to winter, schools up to class 5 will remain closed for the next five days. This information has been given by the Education Minister of Delhi. Earlier, the Delhi government had withdrawn the order to extend winter holidays late at night.

 

The Education Department of Delhi Government posted on Twitter late last night saying that the order to extend the winter vacations was issued by mistake. The order has been immediately withdrawn. A decision on this has been taken today.

Delhi Education Minister Atishi posted on social media on Sunday morning that due to the current cold, schools in Delhi will remain closed for students from nursery to class 5 for the next 5 days.

Let us tell you that these days it is extremely cold in the entire country including Delhi. Due to cold, most of the schools in Delhi were closed till last Friday-Saturday. Were to reopen from Monday. But the severity of winter has not subsided yet, hence school holidays have been extended.
On Saturday, there was a severe cold day like situation in most areas of Delhi. The weather remained cold since morning. People felt shivering due to lack of sunlight even in the afternoon. The cold also increased as the evening approached.
According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will be clear during the day on Sunday. Moderate fog may persist in the morning. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 16 degrees and the minimum temperature will be around 8 degrees Celsius. Light fog is expected to prevail in Delhi throughout the week in the morning. Whereas on January 9, there are chances of light rain or drizzle.

Mayur Vihar area of Delhi was the coldest in the capital on Saturday. The maximum temperature recorded here was 13.8 degrees Celsius. Whereas in Jafarpur the maximum temperature was 14 degrees Celsius and in Narela, Palam, Ridge areas the maximum temperature was 14.6 degrees Celsius.
